while striking up conversation with berliners at bonanza coffeehouse (best coffee in berlin), the new yorkers get educated on the origin of the term “yankees.”
Peace and silence allowing room for greater...
What a refreshing experience to be here - somewhat disconnected from fully understanding the non-English noise around me and focused on processing and taking in the surroundings. I find a greater mental capacity to ruminate, to focus, to dream, and to vision about life and the world undisturbed in my head.
Traveling on the train and taking in the landscape blur by can lead to relaxing...
An Ideal Company of Four
Four is my ideal size of a group to travel with. (My whole trip was primarily planned around coordinating with Mak, Teng, and DSky.) Particularly for an extended trip. En Route to Battle of the Year
A few years ago I saw this fantastic documentary, Planet BBoy, about the world’s biggest bboy event - Battle of the Year. Imagine America’s Best Dance Crew mashed up with Street Fighter - the top finalist crews from all over the world come to the German town of Braunschweig to battle it out to become the top dance crew in the world.
As a secret b-boy at heart (who has grown up on hip...
